The Federal Minister of State for Professional and Technical Education, Sardar Shahjehan Yousaf visited Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) on 26^th January 2012.  

The Minister was welcomed by Dr. Muhammad Aslam Tahir, Chairman, and senior officers of PCRWR.

The Minister paid a detail visit to National Water Quality laboratory, GIS Centre, Commercialization Unit, Display Centre and the site earmarked for National Capacity Institute on Water Quality. The Minister was briefed about the activities of the Council pertaining to; Water Quality, Water Management, Rainwater harvesting, Ground Water Investigations, Mass awareness activities and technologies & services being offered by PCRWR for the masses of the country. The role played by the Council in addressing various aspects of water resource was also highlighted.

The Minister was extremely pleased about the tangible and productive work carried out by the Council in the area of Water Resources and its future endeavors. The Minister also assured the highest level of cooperation between his Ministry and its attached department like NAVTEC to develop long term collaboration in the area of technical education focusing water quality and management will be developed. The Chairman, PCRWR thanked the Minster for his very keen interest in the activities of the Council.
