HRD ACTIVITIES
The headquarters and the centers of the council conducts national regional
and at time international training course and workshops for human resource
development such courses are narrated as under

-• 2001 Regional Training Workshop on “HKH-FRIEND Surface/River Water
Quality” jointly organized by PCRWR, UNESCO, IHP and German IHP/OHP from May
21-26, 2001.
-• 2001 Regional Training Workshop on “Management of Agricultural Drainage
Water” (A Technology Transfer Program), Islamabad, 23-28 January 2001.
-• 2000 Training Course on “Library Automation”, Islamabad, 1-12 August
2000.
-• 1998 Regional Training Workshop on “Groundwater Modeling” jointly
organized by PCRWR & INWRDAM in collaboration with IDB, Jeddah and COMSTECH,
Islamabad; 2-7 November 1998.
-• 1995 National Computer Training course on “Inmagic Software for Library
Automation”, Islamabad 16-26, July 1995.
-• 1993 One month Training of Library staff of DRIP, Tando Jam on
"Computerization and Database Development under Inmagic System", conducted
by NADLIN at DRIP Campus.
-• 1993 Regional Training Course on “Sediment Management of Watersheds and
Hydro-Projects”, Islamabad, January 17-30, 1993.
-• 1990 4th Regional Training Seminar on “Ice and Snow Hydrology”,
Islamabad, December 30, 1989 - January 12, 1990.
-• 1989 National Computer Training Course on “Scimate Software” (database
system) in Collaboration with ISM/R, Islamabad (two weeks) February 1989.
-• 1988 Computer Training Course on “Word Processing with Microsoft Word for
National Collaborators” in collaboration with ISM/R (one week) Islamabad.
WRRC, Lahore
-• 1992 Training Course on “Information Processing and Preparation of
Bibliographic Data for Input” (one week at Lahore, January 30 to February 8,
1992).
-• 1991 Regional Workshop on “Salt Water Intrusion Problems”, Lahore, May
1991.
-• 1991 Workshop on “NIN Database Worksheet for Librarians and Engineers of
Different WAPDA Formations” (one week at WAPDA House Lahore, August 1991)
-• 1988 Computer Training Course on “Word Processing with Microsoft Word for
National Collaborators” in Collaboration with ISM/R (one week) at Lahore.
Eleven Hydrology Technicians Training Courses have
been conducted. Average participation is 16 per course. |
