A delegation from WWF-Japan, accompanied by representatives of WWF-Pakistan, visited the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) on 15 July 2026 and met with Dr. Hifza Rasheed, Director General, PCRWR and Mr Muhammad Dilshad Arshad, Director Hydrology. The meeting focused on exploring potential collaboration under a proposed Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Japan-funded project on WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) and Urban Water Security in Rawalpindi. During the meeting, both organizations discussed PCRWR’s potential technical role and contribution to the proposed project, particularly in the areas of water quality monitoring, research, and integrated urban water resources management. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation for improving urban water security and promoting sustainable water management in Pakistan.
