Pakistan Drought Management System (PakDMS)

The Pakistan Drought Management System (PakDMS) is developed by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in collaboration with Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) under FCDO WRAP project. This system represents a significant advancement in national drought preparedness, offering a tailored solution to address Pakistan’s unique climate challenges empowering decision-makers, stakeholders, and communities by providing timely and accurate drought information. This is a useful tool for monitoring drought conditions in the country particularly for desert and rainfed areas in the context of water resource management and devising appropriate mitigation measures.
